The West Loop Writer’s Group is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Chicago Public Library's West Loop branch.
“Join us as we get together to submit samples of different writing projects varying from fiction, non-fiction, poetry, satire, memoirs and anything else in between,” the group states in a notice posted on the Chicago Public Library website.
The 90-minute session is also hailed as a way for writers to receive “constructive criticism and feedback” in an informal setting. Similar monthly sessions are also scheduled at the West Loop branch throughout the remainder of the year.
Interested parties can register online or at the branch, and those attending should have a work of no more than 3-5 double-spaced pages prepared for critique.
