West Loop Community Organization issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
We invite all West Loop businesses to join us Tuesday, February 2 at 12PM for a lunchtime brief with our local Chicago Police Department (CPD) officials from the 12th District.
Sergeant Michael Karczewski and Officer Luis Crespo will present recent crime statistics, discuss changes in local foot patrol, and provide assistance and insight to businesses through security assessments that help ensure your establishments are adequately protected.
This lunchtime brief is hosted by the West Loop Community Organization (WLCO), and it will be a recurring program. Sergeant Karczewski works with the 12th District on business licensing, entertainment and special events needs. Officer Crespo works closely with the West Loop business community, and you’ve probably seen him around town.
While this webinar specifically addresses business priority areas, all are welcome to attend. And we encourage all West Loop residents to regularly participate in Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) meetings. CAPS is a community policing initiative that brings law enforcement, neighborhoods, and the City together to identify and solve neighborhood crime problems, rather than simply react to their symptoms after the fact.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns about this meeting, please reach out to us by phone at 312.666.1991 or email at info@westloop.org. We hope to see you there!
