The West Loop Residents Association prides itself on having a voice in the ongoing renewal development of its community.

On its Facebook page, the association describes itself as “a group of residents that are active in the activities, planning and development of our great Chicago neighborhood.” To that end, the group is looking for all the voices and perspectives it can get, imploring others to join the conversation “to help shape our neighborhood.”

Concentrating on the areas west of Halsted to Ashland and north of Van Buren to Lake, the West Loop Residents Association touts itself as “the first to focus on representing the interests of West Loop residents” when new projects emerge.

“We welcome development to the West Loop and we would like to actively work with other West Loop community and business organizations to help shape our neighborhood,” the group states on Facebook. “We know we won't always agree, but we hope we can have a lively and civil conversation about the future of our Chicago neighborhood.”
