Why not? It's the home of world-class cuisine and creative businesses that is supported by the stellar backdrop of the city's skyline. For a neighborhood that has improved immensely over the last decade, we are very excited to be a part of the development.
What are your top challenges in growing your business?
Still opening through the pandemic and attracting business to fill occupancy. We understand the whole industry has taken a hit and it's going to continue to take work to bring our hotel to where it belongs the next couple of years.
Why did you join the West Central Association?
To connect with our neighborhood and community. Hospitality is people helping people and that is what we intend to do inside and outside of our hotel.
What makes your business unique?
Brand new built hotels are hard to come by in the city of Chicago. The brand brings a luxury-lifestyle feel to the West Loop that can host many guests while they explore our neighborhood offerings. It's wonderfully centralized in the heart of the West Loop, displays amazing views from our guest rooms and Rooftop lounge, and introduces world-class Japanese centric cuisine.
What gets you up in the morning?
Working with our team to improve this hotel and promote hospitality on a daily basis. It's all about doing what we do for the right reasons. We want to be great ambassadors not only for the Nobu brand, but for the city of Chicago.
What’s your favorite part of the West Loop?
The embraced beauty of the meat-packing district and how everyone is just happy to dine, drink, and shop along these streets. The variety of options the West Loop has is cultivated a new sense of standard for style and cuisine in the city of Chicago.
What does the future look like?
Positive. 2020 has rough year for many and especially for our industry. If we can continue to be positive along with bringing innovation and creativity to our hotel we know the business will follow. Progress is essential.
