CHICAGO PUBLIC LIBRARY - WEST LOOP BRANCH: Early Voting: Secured Ballot Drop Boxes at 26 CPL Locations

Chicago Public Library - West Loop Branch issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.

Early voting for the November 3 general election is taking place in all 50 wards. Any Chicago voter may cast a ballot at any of these sites no matter where they live. Any Chicago Vote By Mail voter may submit their signed and sealed ballot return envelope at the early voting sites or 26 CPL locations—or may use U.S. mail.

Please check with the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners for the most up-to-date information.

Ballot Drop Boxes at 26 CPL Locations

Secured drop boxes are available at every early voting site as well as 26 CPL locations for Chicago Vote By Mail voters to submit their signed and sealed ballot return envelope.

From October 14 through November 3, early voting will take place in all 50 wards, plus the Loop Super Site. Early voting hours are:

• 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
• 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day, November 3

Early Voting Information

Government-issued photo ID is not required, but it is helpful if there is a question about the voter's registration, address or signature, or if there are two voters at the same address with the same name or similar names.

Register to Vote

Not registered to vote? Registration services are available at all early voting sites. Any voter who needs to register for the first time or file a change of address or a change of name needs to show two forms of ID, one of which shows the voter's current address.

Social Distancing

• Voters are encouraged to wear a mask that cover their mouth and nose at early voting sites.
• Voters must practice social distancing, leaving 6 feet between people in line.
