Nobu Hotel Chicago will open this summer, according to a report in Haute Living.
The hotel will feature Robert deNiro’s famous Nobu restaurant. The actor founded the first Nobu restaurant in New York City with his partner, celebrity chef Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa in 1994. (Meir Tupper is currently the third partner.) The brand morphed into Nobu Hospitality, and the Nobu Hotel Chicago will be its latest addition.
While the luxury hotel will have Western-style furniture and amenities, it also incorporates the serenity and sparseness of Japanese design with screened terraces, an indoor pool and a luxury spa. Scheduled to open in June or July, 10,000 square feet will be devoted to a Nobu restaurant.
The hotel, which will offer 119 rooms and suites, is located at 155 N. Peoria St.
