Skinner West debate team wins 28 awards at league tournament

The Skinner West Elementary School debate team recently finished first in five out of six award categories at the Chicago Middle School Debate League Tournament.

For the 52 teams from six schools, the topic for this year’s competition was "Arms Sales," and the cases debated were "Ukraine" and "Taiwan." Overall, Skinner won 28 of a total of 54 awards earned at the tournament.  

Skinner West won first place in the Varsity Team competition, the J.V. Team competition, J.V. Individual, the Novice Team competition and Novice Individual.
