Business and technology consulting firm West Monroe Partner’s rapid expansion in the downtown Chicago area is set to hit the gas pedal with the company announcing plans to move into a facility twice the size of its current one and increase its city workforce by 400 percent over the next five years.
“We’re going to have expansion nationwide; Chicago is our largest office and will have the most hires,” company Media Relations Manager Christina Galoozis told the West Loop News. “We’ll be hiring for various posts. We’ll hire business consultants, energy experts, technologists in the area of analytics and cyber security.”
In keeping with that plan, the company will also be moving from its current 222 W. Adams St. location to a 208,000-square-foot facility at 311 W. Monroe St., which will also serve as its new corporate headquarters and bare the company’s name, West Monroe Partners HQ, over the life of its 12-year lease agreement.
CEO Kevin McCarty told Crain’s Chicago Business the company’s decision to relocate was made easy by local developer Sterling Bay making them an offer they couldn’t refuse.
"This building is insanely capable of providing the employee experience we want," he said. "That's an immense differentiator."
Overall, West Monroe Partners has nine total offices, including locations in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Dallas.
While Galoozis said the company’s operations are thriving all over, the decision to invest in Chicago’s expansion was a simple one.
“There are many reasons why we decided the place we chose and a lot of it has to do with our people, our clients and being able to have the amenities of a city,” she said.
