Chicago Public Library - West Loop Branch issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.

This year we're celebrating Poetry Month in November. Join us all month for online workshops led by poets and authors.

Events Schedule

  • Finding the Poem in You with Kwyn Townsend Riley: 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 4
  • Mini Poetry Fest on Saturday, November 7:
    • Self-Portrait Ekphrasis Poetry Workshop with Crystal Stone: 11 a.m.
    • Thinking of You: Postcard Poem Writing Workshop with Susanna Lang: 1 p.m.
    • Sampling the Greats with Chirskira Caillouet: 2 p.m.
  • Poetry Club: Writing and Open Mic: 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 11
  • A Wall Can Be Broken Down with Tara Betts: 6 p.m. Thursday, November 12
  • Poetry and Memory: Poetry Writing Workshop with David Masciotra: 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14
